Reading the Bible daily is vital to our christian faith.
We learn how to speak, act, and think by studying what the Bible says. Reading the Bible opens the door for our minds and our lives to be transformed into the likeness of Jesus Christ.
I have had moments when my tears have turned into joy. My chaos transformed into peace. My pain and struggles turned into a calm rejuvenation.
The Bible is living and active.
Reading the Bible is like staying connected to your best friend while making a new friend at the same time. It is difficult to completely describe all the benefits of reading the Bible each and every day. It is something you have to experience for yourself.
Our fast paced society makes it difficult to schedule time daily to sit and simply open our Bible. We roll out of bed with just enough time to get ready and rush out the door for our day. After spending all day on the go or in meetings we come home to a quick dinner in front of the television. We then scramble to help the kids with their homework and get ready for their next day. We then melt into our comfortable sofa or chair to catch up with friends on social media. Before we realize it, it’s past our bedtime. Then we get up and do it all over again.
God never intended for us to be too busy to sit down with Him.
He enjoys listening to each one of us. He enjoys talking to each one of us. When we sit down with our Bible, we sit down with the One who spoke it. Never let too long go in between visits. It is a necessity that we need to prioritize in our crazy jam-packed schedule.
I am so passionate about you and I both daily reading the Bible that I will post a new Bible verse for you to read each day. This is not meant to take the place of you opening your Bible or an app on your phone or tablet, but to encourage and remind you to do so.
Each page will hold the verses for each day of that month. A new page will then be created for each new month as it comes. You can find each month as a subheading of “Daily Scripture” at the top of this page or by clicking the appropriate month below. I pray you are encouraged and don’t forget to encourage others by sharing God’s great truth!
